Welcome to the online home of The Amadè Players, a London-based group of musicians with a passion for historically informed performance of the music of the eighteenth-century.

The Amadè Players approach concerts from both performance and research perspectives, so as to offer an historically informed sound. We feel the crucial word is informed, and do not seek to achieve the impossible in sound creation or assuming the intent of a composer, but rather give our audience an exciting performance based upon in-depth historical and musicological research, combined with musicianship of the highest quality.

Our 2013 Concert Season launches with a residency at The Foundling Museum, London, and continues our educational collaborations with Goldsmiths, University of London. Last season we made our Purcell Room debut, performed Handel's Messiah with 100 school children and gave two world broadcast premieres of Vivaldi sonatas on the BBC. Want to know more? "As a supporter of the Foundling Hospital, Handel played a key role in the musical lives of disadvantaged young people in London. I am delighted to be supporting the educational work of The Amadè
Players, and their
collaboration with the Foundling Museum"
