George Clifford studied at the Royal Academy of Music, first graduating with a BMus (First Class Honours) in modern violin, and then an MA (distinction) in baroque violin, receiving the prestigious DipRAM for an outstanding final recital. He studied modern violin with Igor Petrushevski and baroque violin with Simon Standage and Matthew Truscott.
George has worked with musicians and ensembles including Trevor Pinnock, t
he late Sir Charles Mackerras, Edward Higginbottom, Laurence Cummings, Richard Egarr, Steven Devine, Pavlo Beznosiuk, Rachel Podger, the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment, the Academy of Ancient Music, the International Baroque Players, Charivari Agréable, La Nuova Musica, the Amadè Players, Poeticall Musicke, The Regent's Soloists and Britten-Pears Baroque Orchestra. George was a participant in the 'Ann and Peter Law OAE Experience for young players' 2011 on violin and viola. George also sings in several amateur choirs and is Deputy Organist at St Swithun's church in East Grinstead.


May Robertson is currently studying for a master's degree at Trinity Laban (formerly Trinity College of Music) under the guidance of Diana Cummings and Walter Reiter. She has played alongside musicians including Margaret Faultless, Steven Devine, Richard Egarr, Jonathan Manson, David Miller and Pavlo Beznosiuk; with ensembles including the Music for Awhile Orchestra, Amade Players, Exon Baroque Players, Collegium Musicum, and Joglaresa (playing the vielle); at venues including St Martin-in-the-Fields, the Purcell Room, the Wigmore Hall, and West Road Concert Hall; at festivals including the London Handel Festival, City of London Festival, Cambridge Music Festival, and Spitalfields Festival; and live on BBC Radio 3's 'In Tune'. She has participated in masterclasses with musicians including Adrian Chandler and members of the Brodsky, Endellion and Carducci Quartets. May gives regular recitals with both her duo with pianist James Fraser-Andrews and the Keats Quartet. May has also sung with Caius College Choir and the Old Royal Naval College Chapel Choir. She is a graduate of Gonville and Caius College, Cambridge, where she read English and held a coveted university instrumental award whilst playing with and leading several of the university's flagship ensembles. Alongside performing, May enjoys teaching both the violin and English.


Claudia Norz, born in Tyrol, started to play the recorder and the guitar before her parents gave in to her strong wish to learn the violin. Claudia studied modern violin with Christos Kanettis as well as viola with Mirjam Tschopp at the University Mozarteum in her hometown Innsbruck, where she graduated with distinction 2010. Additionally she focussed on elementary music work with young children. Due to her interest in both music and literature she also studied comparative literature at the Leopold Franzens University in Innsbruck. Claudia is currently studying baroque violin with Walter Reiter at the Royal Academy of Music as part of her MA programme. She has worked with Rachel Podger, Maggie Faultless and Pavlo Beznosiuk. Claudia regularly performs with the Austrian ensemble Klingzeug and the London-based groups Rococo and Musica Poetica.

Nicky Enderby

The Danish violinist Anne Marie Christensen has performed in a wide variety of settings as soloist, chamber musician, and orchestra member. She specializes in performance practice and baroque violin and uses her knowledge of historical performance to bring 17th and 18th century music to life as a soloist and chamber musician. She also performs on the modern violin focusing in particular on the solo violin repertoire of the late 19th and early 20th century.She now lives and studies in London where she is setting out on her professional career as a performer, scholar and teacher performing with various baroque ensembles and appearing in concerts as a soloist and chamber musician while still developing her skills taking lessons with leading baroque violinists. She is currently enrolled as a DMus student at Royal College of Music London.
Maya studied modern violin under John Wilson at Queensland Conservatorium of Music in Australia, before graduating and continuing her studies at the Conservertoire National Région de Versailles, with her 3ème cycle spécialisé specialised in performance under Igor Volochine. While in France, she had opportunities to study with several distinguished professors including A.Goulard and S.Gessner. When Maya completed this study, she returned to Japan and regularly worked with professional orchestras, such as Tokyo Symphony Orchestra and Osaka Philharmonic Orchestra, as well as giving chamber concerts and teaching violin. After a concert of baroque music with her father, Maya decided to focus on period playing and came to the UK to continue her studies. She is currently under the tutelage of Walter Reiter at Trinity College of Music on baroque violin.
Nicky completed her BMus at the University of Birmingham before doing her Masters in Performance and Related Studies at Goldsmiths College studying with Dr. Devorina Gamalova and Professor Alexander Ivashkin during which time she was concertmaster of the College Sinfonia and OperaGold before appearing as soloist after graduation. Now working as a freelance violinist in London, Nicky does a variety of operatic, chamber, solo, orchestral and session playing performing in venues across London including St. John's Smith Square, Cadogan Hall, AIR studios and Queen Elizabeth Hall. She performs regularly with Chelsea Opera Group, English Concertante Orchestra and the Kantanti Ensemble and has performed with conductors including Sir Richard Bonynge, Gianluca Marciano, Sakari Oramo and Paul Daniel. She has performed with international soloists such as Alison Balsom, Joanna McGregor, Julian Lloyd-Webber, Alan Opie and Karine Georgian. She has also done session work with Boy George and worked on the BBC2 tv series 'Maestro at the Opera'. Nicky is currently leader of the London Arte Chamber Orchestra, principal second violinist with the Young Musicians Symphony Orchestra, resident at St. John's Smith Square, and ventured into the world of historical performance with The Amadè Players in 2011. In addition to playing with The Amadè Players, Nicky is also one of the education co-ordinators.
